This new two-storey substation is designed to upgrade the electrical power supply to the NSW Mid North Coast.
The difficult sloping site required significant civil works and imaginative site utilisation to accommodate the new switch and control building and outdoor switchyard.
A subdued colour palette and materials were selected to ensure a modest, complimentary relationship with its rural context.
External features include two-tone banded clay brick walls, powdercoated ventilation louvres and metal roof cladding. Internal features include concrete blockwork walls, reinforced-concrete floors and concrete fire-rated ceilings.
